Why Roots Consulting?
My background is within manufacturing where I completed my MSc in Human Resource Management, CIPD in 2002. I was fascinated by the synergy between departments bringing an idea from R&D to a packaged finished product.
This deep interest in operational structure and outputs supported my development to board level.
My Story
meet CLAIRE
I set up my own HR consultancy in 2009, to work around a young family's needs. This was an exciting and exposing time and where I gained my experience of working with SME’s whose structure and needs were vastly different to the multinational companies I had previously worked for.
I realised smaller businesses require unique support extending beyond HR tasks towards a more strategic role, helping to define their people strategy in line with their business goals.
I’m passionate about supporting smaller businesses to be legislatively compliant but to also grow their team’s ability in line with their profitability.
